Reggie Bush Says Raiders Fans Among ‘Most Obnoxious’ In The NFL
The fans of the Oakland Raiders are known for being arguably the most passionate in the NFL. The Black Hole at O.co Coliseum is infamous and a part of the stadium opposing players try to avoid as much as possible. With that being said, it comes as no surprise that some of these opposing players aren't crazy about heading to Oakland to face the Raiders on their home field. One of those players is former USC standout and current Detroit Lions running back, Reggie Bush. Apparently, Bush isn't fond of the passionate Raiders fans in Oakland saying the following via Ashley Dunkak of CBS Detroit:
On the field, Bush said the most obnoxious fans are probably those of the Philadelphia Eagles, whom the Lions visit this weekend, and those of the Oakland Raiders. “I remember being in Oakland and we were playing – it was only a preseason game – and they were just going off,” Bush said. “They were talking trash to Sean Payton, and they were just calling him all kinds of names. [Jeremy] Shockey was there, I think Shockey had something that had happened, they were talking about him. They know everything about you before you come in. They’ve got it ready. They’ve got like a list for each guy, whoever’s closest to him. They just go off that list."
Bush's comments are a compliment to how dedicated the Raiders fan base truly is. Not only were the Raiders fans hounding Bush, amongst other opposing players, but it was during a meaningless preseason game. Needless to say, the fans in The Black Hole, and all the die hards in the stands at O.co Coliseum, let their presence be known on a weekly basis clearly leaving an impression on players like Bush. Although it's been difficult to be an avid fan of the storied franchise over the last decade or so, the fans continue to support the team and hopefully there's a very bright future ahead in Oakland.
